Job Description :
Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.

Responsible for creating and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Manage the load configurations of a central data communication processor and make recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. Coordinate terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing. Approves action requests and specifies purchase requisitions. Negotiates and places orders with common carriers. May play a team leader role for developing System Administrators.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Eight years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.

Working as part of a localized team, you will be part of a Service Reliability Team with the mission to drive availability and performance improvements into the Production environments. You will be part of an innovative team continually raising the bar and leading the change to shift the organization to be proactive in addressing abnormalities and prevent direct user impact. Participate in a team responsible for infrastructure & service availability for mission critical applications.
Deploy patches/upgrades/code to production infrastructure & services within Windows & Linux environment as required.
Provide feedback to drive continual improvement into utilized monitoring solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve/enhance performance and propose/own solutions.
Execute standardized Incident Management process with a focus on service remediation and stakeholder transparency.
Skillset and Knowledge

Required Technical Skills
Windows/Linux Server administration.
Windows/Linux command line proficiencies
Active Directory Administration.
Install and configure Windows/Linux Systems
Maintain and manage Kubernetes clusters across a complex network environment (Kubernetes/Docker administration)
Experience installing and managing software within Windows/Linux environment
Basic network connectivity troubleshooting abilities
Basic Database(Oracle/SQL Server) quering/troubleshooting abilities
Scripting skills utilizing Powershell/Bash/Perl/Python
Understanding of CI/CD pipeline
Hands-on with Jenkin/TemCity/bamboo
Hands-on with Puppet/Ansible/Chef
Supplementary Technical Skills
Experience in tuning system performance in a kubernetes cluster environment
Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana
Monitoring tools like – Sensu/OEM
Log Management – ELK Stack
GIT source control experience
Cloud based integration architecture design skills utilizing “High Availability” strategies
Awareness of REST API integrations
Required Procedural Skills
Awareness with Incident Management process delivery
Awareness and experience with a Agile Project Management delivery
Change Management experience leading to safe and predictable change within the environment
Required qualification & experience
Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
8+ years of experience supporting mission critical applications.
Required Personal Attributes
Sense of product ownership to proactively identify inconsistencies or unexpected behaviors within subject area
Strong tenacity for problem solving to utilize all resources to efficiently identify root cause
Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively propose/communicate new ideas and solutions to technical and business level challenges
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a global team-oriented and collaborative environment
Willing to extend support & strech beyond working hours during Production Deployments & Major Incidents/Outages, if needed.
