Business Development Officer Job Description:
We’re seeking a qualified Business Development Officer (BDO) to find and screen potential customers who can benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with prospects, ideal BDO have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales closers up for success. You should be a quick learner with strong communication skills, and have the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential customer is an opportunity for you to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.
Objectives of this Role:
Ø Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs.
Ø Managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities.
Ø Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets.
Ø Identify lead opportunities, as well as the potential for up sells.
Ø Speak with customers to understand their needs and resolve any issues.
Ø Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Ø Regularly interact with customers to understand their needs and recommend the right products and services for them.
Ø Utilize Sales Force, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities.
Ø Identify prospect’s needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
Ø Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
Ø Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
Ø Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.
Ø Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers regularly and discussed with management for new strategy.
Ø Manage proposal response process, including detailed Customer requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.
Ø Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ø Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Ø 2-3 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding lead targets.
Ø Strong communication skills via phone and email.
Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ø Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
Ø Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
Ø Ability to work independently, while contributing to team-wide efforts.
