POSITION SUMMARY:

The Training Coordinator is responsible for on-site training and on-boarding and ongoing training of Health Care Assistants (HCA) , Medical Assistants (MAs) and other staff as appropriate. The Training Coordinator will work closely with health center management and clinical nursing educator and leadership to ensure that training is tailored to deliver competent, and patient centered care. The Training Coordinator is also expected to identify new training opportunities and facilitate performance improvement projects in collaboration with Health Center management. The Training Coordinator will maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, and will train health center staff to improve outcomes in quality care, patient experience, and workplace values.

Compensation: 40-45k

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee onboarding training and ongoing competency of staff as assigned Coordinate with health center management to ensure new hires complete all mandatory web-based, clinical and classroom training. Ensure completion of on-boarding skills sign-offs and competency checklist under direction of managers. Document trainees’ progress and communicate with management as appropriate Actively engages and facilitates performance improvement initiatives Support health center management in ongoing observations and competency reviews of assigned staff. Maintain training manuals, checklists, and other training resources. Ensure training documentation and tools are current and kept up to date. Document staff ongoing competencies and training progress Create and sustain a healthy work environment. Adhere to and enforce established policies and procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements with agencies such as DPH, OSHA and PPFA. Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintains professional confidentiality of all patient health information. Adhere to PPLM’s policies, procedures and protocols. Model, communicate, and celebrate Planned Parenthood’s In This Together employee engagement and patient experience framework. Participation in PPLM’s efforts to achieve goals for productivity. Other tasks and responsibilities as needed

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works mornings, evenings and weekends as needed to meet training needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Healthcare experienced required (LPN, MA, CNA, HCA or equivalent) 2-3 years of experience required Ability to lift up to 30lbs Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience facilitating professional training for adult learners preferred Demonstrated ability to work with people of different races, ethnicities, sexual and gender identities and expressions, ages, abilities and experiences Commitment to addressing the impact of racism and other oppressions on sexual health Bilingual (Spanish) capability preferred
