This is an opportunity within the EMEA communications team to work from Gurgaon on a wide spectrum of issues that are at the heart of the global capital markets. You will play a pivotal role positioning Moody’s Corpration (Moody’s Investors Service, Moody’s Analytics, Moody’s ESG Solutions) to internal and external audiences as an integrated risk assessment firm. The role is that of a 360 degree trusted communications counsellor to a wide spectrum of stakeholders that will:
Contriubte to and collaborate across a broad set of communications activities in EMEA executing a variety of regional and global campaigns
Contribute to the creation and implementation of communications strategies in support of a wide range of business units within Moody’s, leveraging multiple outreach channels
Consistently identify and execute opportunities to insert our views in relevant news cycles
Create high impact promotional content that will anchor the above
Develop and maintain relationships among key media outlets
Engage in proactive outreach to the media through targeted distributions of promotional content and reports, e-mails, phone calls, briefings, interviews, background meetings, etc.
Respond to media inquiries by providing solutions content, ratings, research, and facilitating access to analysts, economists, product specialists and subject matter experts
Contribute to the efficient management of the EMEA press line & general media relations email inbox, serving as first point of contact for reporters
Update media contacts database and maintain detailed records of media activity, ensuring that all inquiries, campaigns, contacts and meeting data are recorded in a timely, accurate and comprehensive fashion
Bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism or other related field.
3+ years experience in successfully managing communications and building/maintaining media relationships
English fluencey/proficiency is essential (written and spoken); other European languaes desirable.
Strong and persuasive verbal and written skills (consice, impactful, compelling content)
Experience in successfully contributing to strategies promoting content across a spectrum of channels
Proven track record of securing high profile placements in key financial media outlets
Sharp attention to detail; and the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
Comfortable with being managed remotely and to manage upwards
Well-developed IT skills including Microsoft Office
Knowledge of and comfort using social media platforms to promote content
Aptitude in using new database applications and other proprietary systems
Must be a professional, creative, extremely organized, enthusiastic and flexible team player, who can work independently

The Communications Strategist will sit within the global communications team as an integral part of Moody’s Shared Services, the branch of Moody’s responsible for providing professional services to support the success of our global Moody’s Investors Service (MIS) and Moody’s Analytics (MA) businesses in one of the following departments:
The communications team is responsible for content creation, translations and for promoting accurate and widespread media coverage of Moody’s research and ratings. We provide strategic counsel to senior management and business leaders on outreach strategies, and develop, manage and enhance relationships with top-tier media outlets.
